Summer 2011... here I come! ^_^

Hi guys! =) Here is our last post before the summer holidays... three whole months of fun, beach, parties, sun and chilling with friends!
I have been waiting for this moment since September and it has finally arrived. :)
Summer is the season I prefer, I love to stay in bed until late, to go out at night with my friends, to go to the beach...
My programms for this summer aren't ready yet... I think I will go to London twice, to visit my relatives, my aunt always calls me to go there 'cause she wants me to practice my english with her, I'm going there in semptember for my cousin's wedding.
I also booked for a travel-study in London or Dublin in a college but I don't know yet if  I was accepted. If I am I will spend to weeks in a College, with 18 hours of conversations; trips to places in the area, workshop, sports...
I hope this summer will be amazing :)

Waiting for the Summer :-)

I think that my holidays will be fantastic!. they will start the 11 of june when the school finishes. The evening of the last day of school, my friends and I will go to Francesca's home because we will have a party for her birthday. In the first week end of my holidays, there will be a party in my town, so in those day I will wonder around the town until late in the night. I think that the first day of holidays I will start to go to the beach, both in the morning and in the evening. I want to be tanned, I love to have a good tan. The 17 of june, I will be at one cerimony because my cousin will be confirmed. The cerimony will be in the evening while cerimony lunch will be the next day where there will be all my relatives. In the second week of July there will be the summer camp. In fact, as the last year, Francesca and I will work like helpers in the camp. It was an amazing experience and I hope that this one will be fantastic like the last one. This camp will last 5 days: it starts at 9 o' clock and it finishes at 5 o' clock. It is a job a little hard becouse you must stay all day with children that run wherever but at the same time it is very funny especially the last day when there is the talent show. In the evening of the last day of the camp, I will must go to Cagliari because I will must take the areoplane to go to Tuscany. In fact the 17 of July my nephew will take Communion. I will stay there for four days and then I must to come back to Sardinia because the friday of tha week I will leave to Ireland. I will go to live into a family of Irland. In the morning I will go to school while in the afternoon I will go out with friends that I will know there. I will stay there fo 1 month and I hope that I will have a fun, that I will know a lot of new people and that I will menage to make progress in English. When I will return in Sardinia, I think that I will go every day to the beach, I will go out with my friends and I will do everything that I do every summer.

For me summer is one of the season more beautiful beacuse I can have fun, I'm relaxed and I will not have to think about school and  interrogations. Summer is a lovely season!

...This is the continue: A new world, a new way of being

If the ways of communication are very important for this generation, it need think that there are a lot of negative aspects about them.
As first example, we can talk about the computers. Now the computer is one of the ways of communication more used. In fact thanks the computer you can know all that it is happening in the world, you can talk with people that live too far, you can do everything that you want!. But the one of the dark aspect can be the dependence. You can become an ''addictive computer''!. This is the way more easy to explain a reality that is always more common in our society. This way of being is present  especially among the youngs. They pass the magiority of their time in front of the computer to chat or to do something also. They don't go out, they haven't a relashionship with the real people but only with the virtual one. They have own life that don't share with anybody. They withdraw into themselves!. How can we think a world with people that the only way to communicate that they konw is Internet?!. Can we image a world where the dialogue doesn't existe?. We are people that overstate in everything and this way of doing is dangerous for ourselves.
Once time the only way to communicate was to write a long long letters, now the way to communicate most used are the SMS and the email. It's sure that they are very convenient, but often the language that we use to write the SMS and the emails is very incorrect and this fact is dangerous for our language that starts to become a poor and incorrect language.
So, how we can see, the new technologies aren't always good! we must be careful and we must know which is the best way to use these '' GOOD-BAD REVOLUTIONARY THINGS''.

Communication #1

For mass media, or communication mediums, we mean exactly: "all media technologies, including the Internettelevisionnewspapers, and radio, which are used for mass communications, and to the organizations which control these technologies."
It's thanks to all these things that today news broadcasting, knowledge sharing and, in general, communication in and between all over the world, has been made so easier!
Today just turning on the tv we can know, in less than a second, what's now going on  in the other side of the world staying comfortably in our sofa, we can send a mail to our friends who live in Chine in 0.0002 sec. completely for free, we can also read what the weather will be like tomorrow reading it on a newspaper, or even buy whatever we need on amazon or ebay...
In the last years thecnology has made great strides about communication, infact with  mobile phones, mail, social networks, blogs, television we are now all connected and all together. Until a few years ago it could be considered absurd to can talk and also see each others via computer being in the other side of the world, while today Skipe and Msn show that this is absolutly normal... We use to take for granted everything bt we have to consider that until the 90s mobile phones didn't exist and facebook aswell, noone asked you: hey can I have your number? or your facebook/skype/msn contact?
It was in 1440, when the printing press was invented, that started the communication adressed to everyone, making the knowledge approachable to every one.
Today whith these new communication mediums it's possible to do everything absolutely easier making phone calls, reading a newspaper, watching the news on tv... we have to think that all these things there weren't in the past but we've had the lucky to can be helped thanks to the sciensists and researches that everydays look for new discoveries pointed to our well-being.

We have talked about positive aspect... but are there negative ones too? to be continued...

Dream become true

They are the protagonists of this fairy story. One boy and one girl that have crown their love dream.

The wedding of the century is arrived. Prince William and Kate Middleton married the 29th of April in London.
Befoure the wedding, televisions and radios were talking about the bride's dress, the Prince William and his family, the party and other stuff  relative to the marriage. It was a fantastic marriage where everything was perfect. The bride was so beautiful, with her dress she has fashinated all the people of the warld. I think that her simple dress has reflected her simple way of live. In fact she seems a easy girl, maybe the girl next door. Their story is a fairy tale that everyone would come true. One normal girl that meet a Prince, they fall in love and they marry: the typical story that falls in love every girl.

<-- This picture shows the most important moment of all the cerimony

William and Kate have celebreted thei marriage with a lot of people: 1900 guests of whom 900 are stayed  for the lunch and 300 for the dinner. Not only the guests have contributed at the wedding, but also all the people that have seen the marriage on TV.

The famous kiss on the balcony that everyone waited for a lot of time.

My week without my classmates!

Hi guys!!! Yes, I'm one of the two girls that didn't go to Madrid. I was very sad bacause of the fact that I couldn't go with my classmates on the school trip, but I had my reasons if I didn't go with them.
My week without my classmates began the 29 of March. It was a  boring week but at the same time funny. Generally if we hadn't got a teacher, Fabiola and I went to the other classes so we wouldn't be alone. We enjoyed especially when we were in the 4A because their jokes were very funny!. Often the time didn't pass and staying six hours without having something to do was so boring. But one positive aspect was that the teachers understood us and so at the end it wasn't so bad to stay at school. With one teacher, we even went into the town centre to see the shops, it was very funny. What else can I say?! There aren't a lot of  special things to say. Well, another positive thing that I can say it is that it was a week where we didn't have any interrogations, I wish every week was like that and only when this wish will come true, I will say: ''Life is good''.
It was very strange to stay at school without my classmates and for the first time I missed my classmates because one thing is when you are on holiday and so you don't feel their absence. Another thing is when you are alone in your class without the other people.
Maybe during that week I understood how much my classmates are important for me, how I miss them when they are missing and how it's boring without them :-).

P.S. Hey you classmates that will read this post, I hope you don't feel important because I wrote that I missed you. You aren't as important you know ;)  :-)

Maaaaaaaaaaaaadriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid! :-)

Hi guys! As you can see from the title I went to Madrid on a school trip! I went there with my class on Tuesday March 29th  to April 2nd.
I was very excited thinking of spending 5 days in Madrid with my class, I had never been there before!
<- Here is a picture of us, maybe someone is missing but I couldn't find a better one. :)
Let the adventure begin!
Our trip began in Jerzu, where we took the bus to our first stage: Alghero!
There we caught the plane to Barajas, the airport of Madrid. Then a bus called Julia took us to the... hotel (lol).
Let's say that at first it didn't make us a good impression, it was like a big labyrint and it took longer to get our room than to arrive in Madrid from Alghero. :) By the way once arrived and put us up in our rooms we went to sleep. ZZZ...
The day after, on wednesday, we woke up, well how can I put it, well we were veeeeeeeeeeery tired! :D
We had breakfast in a restaurant a few steps ahead from the hotel called "La Vera",where we had dinner too, they all were really kind with us and the food was really nice! That day started our voyage of discovery of the three amazing museums with The Reina Sofia, it was really nice and enriched us with its artistic heritage... on thursday and on friday we visited The Thyssen and The Prado, and we also visited The Real Academia de San Fernando, el Palacio Real...
We usually viseted museums and important places in the morning, at lunch time we went in groups and we looked for something to eat LOOOOOOOOL :), the first day I ate chinese in a big shopping center insted the other day i opted for something madilenian: bocadillo de tortilla de patatas, bocadillo de ternera and tapas: a wide variety of spanish snacks.                                                                ->
I didn't expect that Madrid was so beautiful! There was a lot of entertainment, in every corner of the city: buskers, bookstalls... But the best was by night! Madrid during the day seems really quite, not so caothic... but in the nigh la movida madrileña takes the place of the calm! On wednesday, for example, we went out after dinner and we went to see a flamenco show, it was great and then we start dancing the macarena dance and everybody was looking at us both amused and scared... on thursday  a square, there were too many squares to remember all the names X), and and there was a man playing with fire who did a really good show! On friday we went to plaza Mayor after dinner and it was amazing!
We did a lot of shopping because there were a lot of nice shops! The problem was when we had to put them in the case. We broke all the rules of Physics to fit everything in it :)

I had a lot of fun with my class in this trip, I sang out loud in a shopping centre, I made a complete fool of myself trying to speak spanish (well in Spain no one speaks english...) I can say that the trip was fabulous! :D

PS: I had to by something for my friends and I found a really original souvenir: lol :D

Nobel Peace Prizes 1995-1996

"Who best benefit mankind through their actions", this is what distinguishes people who got a Nobel Prize.
This Prize is an award in the memory of Alfred Nobel, the inventor of Dynamite.
There are, every year, six awards for six subjects:peace, literature, physics, chemistry, economics, and medicine.
All the prizes are given out in Sweden exept for the Pease one which is given in Norway: this is because Norway adn Sweden were one country when the prizes started.
The Nobel Peace Prize is given to someone who: "...shall have done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses."
Every year the Norwegian Nobel Committee invites o group of qualified poeple to submit nominations for this award.

Heal the world

"Heal the world make it a better place for you and for me and the entire human race." These words are from one of the most popular songs by Michael Jackson, with this word he invites us all to make something for our "sick" world.
Can we do something to save the world? This is the question that nowdays everybody tries to answer. Topics like renewable enrgies are always most treated, but first of all I think that we should learn how to be less squanderers. Today with easy daily action we can help saving the environment and saving energy at the same time! Saving the planet is not an easy task because it requires the power of the whole planet. There are a lot of things that we can do but if we aren't united to achieve the same objective, we won't menage to do nothing!. I think that the first base is the ''Diversified Harvest''. This last is the easier way to start to save the planet. With simple gestures, you can start to do useful things for a world that is crying. The Diversified Harvest done only by few people is useless, but the situation changes if we do that all togheter. Others eco-behaviors like taking the bus or using the bike to move into the city instead of take the car, could help reducing the air pollution. We are guys that hope that everybody will understand how it is important to try to protect the world from men's destructive work. Infact we have to save our planet under all its points of view, endangered species, air pollution, greenhouse effect... These are just few of the problems that are going to destroy our planet, we have to make a difference, to roll up ours sleeves and preservate the Earth for all the generations to come! Since we were young our parents educated us respecting nature, because we are a basic part in it, the uncontrolled exploitation of natural resources is taking us into a self-destruction. We must realize that the World isn't ours but we have got it in loan and we must keep it intact for all the generations to come.

Our passions

In today's post we're going to talk about something we like.
In fact we have got a great consideration about our culture and traditions wich, unluckily, are getting lost with the new generetions.
Sardinian language, for example, isn't a dialect such as the ones in the other parts of Italy, it is the most conservative of the Romance languages most of all about phonology.
Nowdays this language is being influenced by italian and the risk is to lose the true gramatical structures and words. I think that we should keep being spoken because it rapresents our identity as Sardinian people, I sincerly don't understan people that are ashamed to speak this language, and I find them even a bit ridicoulous because I've never seen an Italian ashamed to speak italian or a Spanish ashemed to speak spanish. I think that bilingualism Italian-Sardinian is a good things for us all! Even the Government reconizes this language and now we have the L.S.C. (limba sarda comuna) Common Sardinian Language, or rather a mixture of local variants of sardinian, a sort of universal sardinian understandable by all the sardinian population, used to make, for example documents and lwas, in sardinian.
Our suggestion is to keep speaking sardinian and keep our traditions alive, because in our traditions our identity lives.
I have also got a lot of passions like reading, watching tv, using computer, practing some sports, listening to music, dancing...But my real passions is volleyball. I love this sport and I'm very upset that this year I didn't have the possibility to practise this sport. Infact I have played volleyball since I was 7 years old. While you are playing you manages to forget everything that everyday you must rembemer, things like: job, homework... With this game you can pour out! Moreover it's a game founded on trust and so you have to learn to trust your playmates. So volleyball, like the other sports, beyond to be funny, is instructive too.
Another thing, that I like to do, is to stay with our friends!. When we are with them all our problems disappears because we think only to have a good time togheter. I think that to have a friend with you can talk and confide everything, it's a good way to get over a bed period of our life. The friends are precious like a diamonds and like a diamonds they must be kept with care.

Speak

Speak is a 2004 american movie based on the homonymous novel by Laurie Halse Anderson. It's a drama film focused on Melinda Sordino the main character, an unspeaking, depressed, confused and lonely girl.
She's a freshman and the new academic year doesn' start really good for her: people make fun of Melinda calling her "squealer" because she called the police during a summer party after being raped by Andy Evans.
The film begins with the young girl drawing on her face like a stitching on her mouth, she obvouisly looks disturbed, but that's because she refuses to tell anyone what happened.
This being mute increases the break between her and the others, family and friends.
She cannot get good results at school , but she gets on with her Art Teacher Mr. Freeman.
She grows up and she finds the courage to tell her ex-bestfriend (Rachel) what happened but she didn't believe her when she named her raper Andy Evans, who's at the moment Rachel's boyfriend).
Afterwards Rachel figured out that Melinda spoke the truth.
In the blink of an eye all the school knows the truth, melinda refinds the courage she left that hateful night at the summer party and restart living.
